How to measure the rice harvester chain?

The chain length accuracy shall be measured according to the following requirements.

1. The chain is cleaned before measurement.
2. The chain to be tested shall be surrounded by two sprockets, and the upper and lower sides of the chain to be tested shall be supported.
3. The chain before measurement shall remain for 1min under one-third of the minimum ultimate tensile load.
4. When measuring, apply the specified measuring load on the chain to tension the chains on the upper and lower sides. The chain and sprocket shall be appropriately engaged.
5. Measure the center distance between two sprockets

Measuring chain elongation

1. In order to remove the play of the whole chain, it is necessary to measure under a certain degree of pulling tension on the chain.
2.  During measurement, to minimize the error, measure at 6-10 sections (link)
3. Measure the inner L1 and outer L2 dimensions between the rollers of the pitch number to find out the judgment dimension L=(L1+L2)/2
4.  Calculate the elongation length of the chain. This value is compared with the service limit value of the chain elongation in the preceding item.
5. Chain elongation=judgment dimension - reference length/reference length * 100%
6. Reference length=chain pitch * number of links

How to maintain the harvester chain

As there is much dust in the operation of the chain, it is easy to be covered with oil sludge, which affects the transmission, so it should be cleaned regularly. First, it can be cleaned in gasoline, and then it can be soaked in engine oil for about 30 minutes. Then it can be removed and dripped for reuse. At the end of each season's operation, the chain shall be unloaded, dipped in oil, coated with butter, wrapped, and placed in a dry place. The sprocket shall be cleaned with gasoline or diesel oil and coated with butter for rust prevention. When installing the chain, wrap the chain around the sprocket first and then insert the chain pin. The chain should be inserted from the inside to the outside so that the connecting plate can be installed and locked from the outside. It should also be kept not tight or loose, and there should be some room for movement. During disassembly, the hammer can be used to gently knock the two connecting pins on the same connecting plate by turns, pull out the pins and remove the chain. If the chain pin has rough rivet hair, file it flat before disassembly.
